Matt serves as Senior Operations Advisor. Prior to joining TRP, Matt was a founding partner of Cascade Resource Partners, an upstream oil and gas company pursuing mature assets in multiple producing basins. Before starting Cascade, Matt spent thirteen years at Questar Corporation and then QEP Resources with increasing levels of responsibility. Beginning as an acquisition engineer, his tenure at QEP included roles in planning, business development, and new ventures before being assigned to asset management. His experience includes valuation, acquisition and successful onboarding and development of more than $2.5 billion of assets. On his departure from QEP he was responsible for all the companies’ upstream assets, a portfolio that included active development programs in five separate producing regions.
Matt received his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Matt and his wife have three children and live west of Denver.
