Lara is a manager in RMI’s Climate Intelligence program, overseeing multiple initiatives aimed at emissions modeling, visibility, accounting, and market based solutions for reducing GHGs from global oil and gas supply chains. Prior to joining RMI, she worked at Mercury NZ and Ormat Technologies Inc as Chief Geochemist in charge of E&P, mergers and acquisitions, process chemistry and environmental compliance. Lara has also spearheaded multiple carbon sequestration projects in the geothermal industry now responsibly for removing >100,000tons/yr of CO2.
Lara holds an MSc and PhD in Geochemistry from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and BS in Geosciences from Pennsylvania State University; She is a registered PG in the state of California.
